Home Services Spotlight is an independent editorial publication about the people who run local home service businesses — plumbers, electricians, roofers, landscapers, remodelers and the trades around them.
Most coverage of contractors is either advertising or a review score. We do neither. We interview owners, photograph their work, and publish what we learn so homeowners can make better-informed decisions on their own terms.
What a feature is — and is not
A feature is
- An interview-based profile of a business owner.
- Information reported at a point in time.
- A record of what the business says it does.
A feature is not
- An endorsement, recommendation or referral.
- A ranking, rating or "best of" list.
- Verification of licensing, insurance or work quality.
Labeling
Every piece of content on this site carries a label. **Editorial** means the content was produced independently, with no payment from the business involved. **Sponsored** means a business paid for placement; sponsored content is written to the same factual standard but the business had a commercial relationship with us, and sponsorship never buys a favorable characterization or implies our endorsement.

Corrections
If a detail in a profile is wrong or out of date, we want to fix it. Business owners can request corrections or removal at any time through the contact form.
